How I Became a Female Magician

aka How I started magic and how this all happened?! The beginning was an adventurous journey, I tried squeezing into this youtube video as much as I can without creating a documentary of my childhood.. 🙂 I think this video should give you a little sneak peek, and perhaps encourage you to follow whatever your heart desires 🙂

My teacher at the time, Janos Habok was (and my personal opinion, still is) the best sleight of hand performer in Hungary. I was very lucky not to be forced into a “box” and to be given specific instructions on how to do what, but instead leaving blank spaces for me, and therefore allowing me to grow, and discover my own, original style.

PS: The choker I’m wearing in this video it’s coming to the store soon! 😉

Strange Hungarian Expressions [New Video]

I decided to collect some random Hungarian expressions.. make sure you take some notes if you are prepping to visit Hungary for sure.. 🙂

As I mentioned in the video, new magic clips are coming up (working on them as I’m writing this), and if you have any suggestions that you would like me to show you next, let me know!

Panda Love TBT

If you are not tired of already seeing everyone’s Throwback Thursday photos, than I’ll invite you to check out mine! 🙂 I actually just found this photo and made me laugh! I thought TBT is the perfect reason for me to share this photo with you! FYI, regardless of my frequent travels to China, I still have never met a real panda in person! Perhaps that could be my wish for this new year 😉

Puzzling The World

Happy Birthday Rubik Erno! Thank you for making the world puzzled and gave magicians an extra toy to play with! 😉 I’m proud to be a Hungarian!

But who is Rubik Erno and how is the Cube came about?

The mysteries of the Magic Cube!

I’ve met a Cube World Champion a few years ago in Hollywood, and I’ve never seen anybody so fast, solving the puzzle. I made a little video that you can only see here:

I remember playing with the cube when I was very little, and ending up removing, pealing of the colors and sticking it to the correct side of the cube. Child’s logic… 🙂
Have you ever played with or solved the Rubik’s Cube?

The Table

Almost 3 years now the last time I had the opportunity to visit home. I grew up in Hungary in a home with chickens, pigs, ducks and at one point, we had an angry turkey as well. 🙂

I had discovered at the back of the chicken scoop, which now was empty and quiet (no squawking).. that my table and parts of an older illusion was there. All covered in dust, ready to be butchered up, thrown into the fire so it too can keep the little home of my grandparents stay warm for the winter.

When I saw this table, all those memories rushed back to me again. My very first table I stood on stage with. My very first competition (when I almost fainted, going out on stage) and my first time with this table, traveling to neighbor countries magic competition to show my act to the magic community.

Can you spot my table (and the red stool as well with the circles cut out at the sides) on the video bellow?

This was also the time when I finally saw my sister again, almost 3 years ago. We were visiting my dad, it was so much fun!

I don’t have control over the things that stayed behind when I left home. I only took a bag to America with me when I left. Some clothes but mainly magic props. I had no idea it will take 3 years for me to go home again. And after that, another three.

I don’t care for the table anymore. I just hope to keep the family with me forever.
